I guess I should be grateful that everyone takes their shoes off as they enter the house...I can't remember it being one of my dictatorial demands as they were growing up but maybe they did it for self preservation!! Anyway every one of my children seems to have a problem with their arms..... as soon as they come in the front door, their bags manage to fall off their shoulders as well!
So maybe if there was a hall station for them to dump their things in an orderly manner.....
This is the area I am talking about...just a hop, skip and a jump from the front door, outside the laundry and near the backdoor.... I can get them coming and going! One of the troubles is the back door is hard against the wall and the space has to be fairly narrow because I need plenty of access coming out of the laundry with big laundry baskets loaded with clothes!
So I have been looking on Pinterest for some ideas.... it is always full of them....check out these great examples....
This ones not bad but maybe too many cubby holes, it is meant to be a landing stage, not long term storage.

I think this might be the one! Just have to get the wind up to tackle a job like this....don't hold your breath guys, it is on the list but there are quite a few things ahead of it! ;-)
