My Grandma Dorothy would have been 76 today. She passed away a year and a half ago, and I miss her more than words can describe. I miss her laugh, her smile, her hugs, watching game shows with her when she would know the answers every single time, when she taught me how to polka (a family tradition), how she always drank black coffee or flat Diet Rite, singing songs with her, always asking to hear stories from her childhood, even though we'd heard them a million times before, and just everything about her. She was the most loving, accepting, beautiful, caring, woman I've ever known or ever will know. I learned so much from her, and I know that the real part of her wasn't her body, but her soul, that was who my grandma was and is, and I'll be with her again someday in heaven with Jesus. Happy Birthday, Grandma! I love you! ♥
{I love this photo of her from her wedding day...the dress, the shoes, the veil, her hair...gorgeous!}
