Seems like it's always about this point in the summer that we decide it's cooled down enough to take a trip to Falls of the Ohio State Park.

The heat is no joke. On the fossil beds it can be almost 20 degrees hotter...yikes! Though Bean and Boba normally protest when we're doing any kind of park-visiting trip, this is one place they really enjoy going to.

Boba really wanted to get across to a small "island," so he formed a makeshift bridge using large rocks:

It's such an interesting place. I love the contrast between the woods above and the bare fossil beds below. I'm definately looking forward to more hiking and exploring as the weather continues to cool!
