together we climbed hills and trees, learned of love and abc's, skinned our hearts and skinned our knees

The rhythm of the vehicle
rolled like the wheels of my nerves,
and the buttons on my cardigan
were my only friends.

I started school yesterday! I was horribly nervous and was tense and twiddling my thumbs and playing with the buttons on my cardigan for the hour long bus ride, and it didn't help that once I got to the school my locker wouldn't open. Eeep! But we got it all fixed and the rest was a breeze. {I'm actually doing  just a few periods at high school, and then the rest at home school. :) }  Anywho, today was much better, and hopefully tomorrow will be a good day. :)

So, my nails are a different color for the first time in about three or four months! They've been mint green since the very beginning of summer, and I finally made myself paint them a totally new shade. I kinda miss green on my fingers, and the pink I have on now reminds me of Barbie, haha. I think I'll have to find a more fall-ish shade of green sometime soon, though.

I absolutely love using men's dress-shirts for dresses. This is is one of my dad's old ones that I snatched from his closet, along with a few others that I liked. I can't wait until winter when I can layer sweaters over them. Gosh, here I am talking about winter when autumn has barely begun! Today was actually pretty warm, although the air was a bit more chilly. This outfit was perfect for enjoying the last lingering breaths of summer, while still fading into fall a bit.

I hope you all had a lovely day! ♥  Oh, and I thought I'd mention that this is my 200th post, and I also just had the delight of seeing that my little blog now has 200 followers! Yaaaaay!
