CHA catch up

Wow, what a busy few weeks it has been for me! As you already know I’ve recently been in America for the CHA show in Rosemont, Chicago but I wanted to fill you in with what I have been up to.

We flew in to the US a day early and we spent it as a chill day! Leann and myself decided to relax on the beach while the guys chose to go to a baseball match instead!

We had a lovely meal out with the nice people from Sizzix, including a typical desert in the US – it was absolutely massive!! It was so big that even the 4 of us together could only get through half of it! Look at this photo and see what I mean…

There was a treat for everyone on the opening day of the show – to open the show they had the Chicago police department bagpipers walk around with the board members. This is usually the only chance I get to see the show floor because we’re so busy on stand the rest of the time.

I was also very honoured as I was asked to officially open the show…so here I am cutting the ribbon, along with Mark Peters (vice-chair of the board) and some lucky members chosen from the crowd…

We entered our Envelobox Creator into the Innovations Awards, so I had to give a talk about it (only 30 seconds).

We won the award and got to go to the lovely awards ceremony on the last evening of the show.

Back on the show floor, our stand looked great and we were all looking dapper in our lilac shirts!

It was a very busy show, and a great time was had by all…but it was very exhausting so I was pleased to get back home the following week!
