remembering dreaming

"You know that place between sleeping and awake, that place where you can still remember dreaming? That's where I'll always think of you."  -- J.M. Barrie

I've had a really awful day. (And no, I'm not throwing a pity party.) My day did not start out well and everything just escalated and got worse, and left me emotionally empty until I broke down later in the afternoon. That's why I'm not wearing any make-up besides lipstick in these photos...I cried it all off and didn't feel like reapplying anything. After crying though I felt much better. So as of right now I'm doing all right. Hopefully tomorrow is better, right? I hope you all had good Mondays!

I just ordered a beautiful edition of Peter Pan! I have a few other books from this classics series, and they are all gorgeous, and I had been looking for a nice edition of Peter Pan, so I was so happy to find this. Peter Pan is my favorite book and character in children's literature. I can't wait for it to get here!

Actually, when I was really young, there was this enchanting vintage Peter Pan book in the young adult's section, and even though I was just 5, I found it and checked it out every single week. It had a beautiful cloth cover, magical illustrations, and it smelled like lovely antiques. I remember it so well. I began searching for the same edition a year or two back, but have so far had no luck. I even contacted our old library three states away and asked for the information on the book and described it to them. They said they didn't have it, but I went on their online catalog and searched around and found some different information on older editions of Peter Pan that they have. I think I have the right information now, but I can't find the book anywhere in-person or on the internet. It makes me kind of sad...I would love to have that particular book again.

Here I go jump-starting on autumn in my outfits again, haha. Ankle boots and my favorite over-sized cardigan! It was a bit chillier out today...but I think I overdid it a little bit, just the same. But I think it was worth it, haha. And tomorrow it'll be even chillier out! I'm so excited!

Happy Monday, my dears!
