Fresh Trends| Autumn Crush # 2_Brightness

Here are the second part of Autumn Crush.(The first one was Pastel Precious).
Neverending brightness, to make autumn shine, to make you feel up.
I suggest you to use gold and silver with parsimony.
You don't have to look like an 80's popstar, you just have to shine.
Don't forget elegance.
Never.

Collections|Vena Cava FW 2011/2012

Vena Cava is in my personal top 10 of the more or less emerging brands.
Born in 2003 from the brilliant minds of Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock, two californian girls graduated at Parsons School in New York, Vena Cava is one of the most appreciated and interesting brands of the contemporary fashion scene.
The legend tells that after the exclusion from the fashion show of the end of academic year, the two friends united their creativities in their living room to give life to the first collection of Vena Cava.
Delusion and necessity of revenge brought them to success.
Now their creations are worn by girls like Maggie Gyllenhall, Blake Lively and Natalie Portman.
Their ready to wear is made by urban touches in the perfect underground New York mood, spiced up with vintage notes.
Not pretentious, very fresh, definetely newyorker.
The items from FW 2011/2012 have the flavour of afternoons spent in Williamsburg, digging out old post-punk vinyls in some basement second-hand shop.
It’s hard to distinguish morning from the night, Vena Cava FW 2011/2012 creations are remixable in any way to be perfect from dawn till dusk, in tune with Big Apple girls’ necessities.
A pair of ankle boots at your feet and high heels on your bag, et voilà, Vena Cava’s little dress goes along with your day changing with extreme ability.
I leave you with the pictures from FW 2011/2012 lookbook and I recommend you to visit Vena Cava’s website: it’s full of interesting cues and there’s also a Garage Sale section in wich vintage findings selected by the designers are put up for sale.

Poco pretenzioso, molto fresco, decisamente newyorkese.

New fashion designers/Collections|Made with milk

I met the italian brand Made with milk for the first time last february in Milan, at White fair, during SS 2011 fashion week.
Among aseptic stands, useless experimentalisms and excessive fashion games I found a oasis of peace and elegance at Made with milk’s stand.
The two designers received me in their little corner made by milk fiber, old pictures and a neverending friendship.
Behind Made with milk there are Chiara Pochetti and Vera Facchetti.
Neither Chiara nor Vera studied fashion or design, but an impeccable taste and a bold nose for the right innovations brought them to the creation of Made with milk.
The name holds all the sweetness and the beauty of a brand wich is characterized by the use of milk fiber.
Made with milk’s creations are jewels of a delicate sophistication, a little bit preppy, a little bit nostalgic, wich mix softness with perfect cuts and enrichments made by folds and ruches.
The soft colors are rarely broken up by darker shades and it’s easy to gather that the aim is to remain in the ranks of anything made with milk.
So, pink becomes a strawberry frappé, brown becomes milk chocolate and cream covers little dresses wich smell like the sweetest winter.
The most tender and childlike milk shades are revisited in an extremely feminine and contemporary perspective wich eliminates any mawkish note and leave beautiful creations without excess and worthy of the best ready to wear catwalks.
In the pictures, the FW 2011/2012 collection.
//
Dietro a Made with milk, Chiara Pochetti e Vera Facchetti.

It doesn’t exist a more effective method to make out the real worth of a designer then to measure the innovative extent related with the maintaining of elegance and usability.
We’re talking about prêt-à-porter, of course.
In fashion world, autumn is the real start of the year and the collections presented months before during fashion weeks are putting to the test on the streets.
In the imagine above, an Arstcrylique Mode’s selection of some of the most interesting news wich smell like autumn.
There will be time, ways and space to talk about that here on the blog and to delve into that topic.
For the time being, just that little sneak of the suggestions that AM appreciated more.

Collections/Inspirations|Back to autumn with Monki

Since my travel to Stockholm is near and autumn too, I think it’s the moment to share with you some first very autumnal inspirations.
Wandering on the web looking for places to visit and shops to chase up in the Swedish capital city with my sweet half, we find the web site of the scandinavian brand Monki.
I’ve heard something about that brand months ago by the blogger Susie Bubble, but I hadn’t deepen yet.
I have to say I’m a big fan of preppy and naïf lines, above all for autumn. The main colors of the collection, mustard, tobacco, grey, blue, burgundy are perfect for a city, dynamic but retrò autumn.
Also prices seem to be rather low and quality seems high (I’ll check once there).
Waiting to add some Monki items to my walk-in closet, I leave you with the super amusing pictures of the FW 2011/2012 campaign, I really loved them!

Since I was a child, I use to start in the middle of summer to compile a list of the items I’ll buy for the cold season.
This year I lust for coats with elegant cuts, long capes and unstructured lines.
Now, the ones you see in the collage are my top inspirations.
I’ll be in Stockholm on september and I put my confidence in the swedish city for my research of the perfect manteau, wich has to cover me and protect me from the freezing cold, without make me looking like a roulade.

//
