New House Mouse stamps

Get ready to squeal as we've got some new House Mouse stamps available over on the main Crafter's Companion site. These adorable little characters from the ever-popular Joanna Sheen are back again in two 4x8" stamp sets that cost just £9.99 each. This time these mischievous mice are in the Christmas spirit and can be found peeking out of stockings, gathering around the Christmas tree lights, nibbling away on candy cane and handing out presents. The sets are called Trio of Stockings and Three Wise Mice.

I haven't managed to have a play with these yet but watch this space as they're just too cute to stay in their packets so you might just see a few samples up on here soon!

Bargains & sneaks

I've got a double whammy of treats for you today guys & gals! Not only am I going to be sharing more sneak peeks with you of the new Humphrey's Corner launch, but I've also got a great deal over on the Crafter's Companion website that I just know you will adore!

Today I thought I'd show you DT member Carol Van Der Westhuizen's super-cute rocker card using the new Humphrey images. Carol has combined one of the stamps with backing papers from the CD for stunning results. A little patience

They say patience is a virtue and I'm afraid you'll need to put this saying into practise while you wait a teeny weeny bit longer for the new Humphrey's Corner Christmas collection to launch. It's not long now though, I promise! In just 5 days time you will be able to get your hands on the 12 brand new stamp sets and the twin-set CD-ROM.

We have two different ways for you to win the complete set so read on if you want to find out more!

The first way is by going to Monday's post (2 posts down!) and copy & pasting the blog badge shown onto your blog. Once you have done this simply fill out your details on the Mr Linky form at the bottom of Monday's post. All you have to do then is sit back, cross your fingers and hope that your name gets selected at random!

The second way for you to get your mitts on a complete set is by going to the competitions section of the Crafter's Companion website (you will need to be a member and be logged in to see it) then answer the very simple question before filling in your details. You know how to double your chances don't you? Yup, that's right - enter both competitions!!

Hopeless romantic!

I saw a post on our American Crafter's Companion blog that was just too good to not share with you you guys. It's a sweet card by Carmi using the Humphrey's Corner stamps and Spectrum Noir pens. I'll let Carmi explain in her own words how she created this adorable project...





In the Humphrey unmounted rubber stamp collection is this sweet girlie elephant.

She is very shy.

I stamped her using my Rock-a-blocks and black ink.





The image on the package inspired me to colour her in this palette. Happily, I was able to use the new Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir markers. They are fabulous to work with!





I cut my coloured image into a smaller square and added some foam tape to the back to give it some height on the card.





I placed the bouquet behind her arms by using an x-acto knife to cut a little insert.





Isn't she sweet?





She is originally from the "Birthday Girl" set.

You can see how she can be used for all occasions!

Colouring tutorial

We've been inundated with requests for colouring techniques tutorials to go alongside the new Spectrum Noir pens and, in true form, our amazing DT have risen to the occasion with an array of tutorials to help you get the most from your pens. I will share a selection with you over the coming days but if you can't wait & want to get started with your colouring straight away then head over to the 'I'm a Crafter's Companion' group on Facebook where they've been busy little bees uploading their work.

Today though, I'm going to show you Linda's tutorial for how to colour in Beatrix Potter stamped images with the Spectrum Noir pens.
