Tuesday Shoe Day | Ivanka Trump

Ivanka Trump has designed a gorgeous and "city chic" ivory shoe collection that would be perfect for any NY bride! What do you think? Aren't they all amazing?! I love all the crystal embellishments...and check out the jewelry.  I absolutely LOVE the pearl tassel earrings, they are so elegant and very beautiful!

from my wrists to my toes, second edition

Say hi to the second edition of From My Wrists to My Toes. It's weird how fast these type of shots accumulate over such a short amount of time.

Tomorrow is Friday, and you know what that means? The weekend! And do you know what that means? Two whole days of no school, not having to get up at 5:30 in the morning, and not having to ride the bus. Yessss. I'm pretty excited. :)

from my wrists to my toes

I really like getting photos from my wrists to my toes, thus documenting the lower half of my outfits, my footwear, rings and nail polish, and my bag/purse. I think it's interesting seeing the different pictures that have accumulated over the past few months, so I thought I'd do a post highlighting them. {The fourth pic is my favorite!}

I think it's funny that my nails are mint-colored in all the photos, at least when you can see my nails. I seriously haven't changed my nail polish color for three months straight...I'm pretty sure that this mint obsession will keep going on for a while, and I'm totally fine with that! Kudos to Victoria for getting me obsessed with the nail polish in the first place. :)

summer days are gone too soon

heidi-ho bloggerinos.
I'm not entirely sure how to spell "heidi-ho" but that version seems phonetically accurate.

in case it hasn't come across so far on this blog, Aberdeen isn't exactly known for it's gorgeous summers. whenever a little sunshine seeps through the clouds I try and take full advantage. mind you it's still never that warm so full advantage just means taking a walk until it starts to rain again.

seriously, it rains every day. I'm thinking about moving to a desert when Brandon's done school.

this particular walk was after my interview with Topshop. this is what I wore to said interview. and fyi it was raining before we got back to our apartment.

blazer + shoes- topshop // dress- vintage fr. jumbelaya on etsy // tights- h&m

for the record, these are probably the cutest shoes I own. I want to wear them with everything. except that it turns out they are a beyotch to wear. I was so excited when I tried them on in the store and they were "sooo comfy..."
oh well. it's not like I get to wear heels that often anymore. such a waste of 75% of my shoe collection, sitting lonely in my dark, still unorganized closet...

maybe that's why they hurt so much. I'm out of practice.
yes, yes I'll go with that.
(also it totally bugs me that the t-strap was crooked the whole time, arg.)

1,456 days of summer

I've frolicked through approximately 1,456 days of summer in my life so far...and tomorrow it will be 1,457 days of summer. So many memories, some that I hold tight to and others I do my best to forget, experiences, friendships, relationships, events, words, and thoughts are wrapped into those 1,456 days. With all that time of just summer alone, I feel like there should be more lessons learned and things to remember for me. That looking back over all those days of sheer nothingness and loveliness, more alone time for thinking than I get during all of the school year, I should have a bit more figured out. But, no, I don't. I'm left wondering still for the summer days that remain of this year, and then likely on to next summer...a cycle of wondering.

{warning: picture overload}

But I think right now I'm okay with roller-coaster emotions, second-guessing myself, undefinable thoughts, not being able to figure out all my problems, and just living life in whatever way it comes. Sometimes I realize that I just need to let go and not worry about what I know or don't know yet. This summer so far has been amazing, and I can't believe it's already August. Really, I have learned so much about myself this summer...not anything that will really fix the problems I have or encounter, but things that define who I am. My personality. My feelings. My fears. My heart. Me. It's been like a journey of self exploration.

I don't usually wear my hair up unless it's dirty, haha, so that can tell you a little something about my hair in these photos. I felt so sweet and girly in this outfit! I adore these shorts, blouse, shoes, and bows. ♥
