{new} holiday photo cards

I've been a busy bee, working on a new line of holiday photo cards for the 2011 Christmas season!

Each card features one or more photos, and color change is complimentary!

{halloween} printable halloween party invitations

Besides Christmas (of course), Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday to decorate for. I love dressing up, I love handing out candy (and sneaking a few pieces for myself...) and I love creating a haunting scene in our front yard. If I had it my way, it would be perfectly acceptable to start decorating in August (but I'm fairly certain my neighbors wouldn't appreciate it...).

We usually host or go to a Halloween party every year (although last year, we spent Halloween in Thailand!), but this year we'll play it safe. Little Miss Bean is due right around Halloween :)

If YOU'RE having a Halloween party, though, I wanted to share a new line of printables in my etsy shoppe! They're great for adults AND for kids.

Toe Tag Printable Halloween Party Invitation

This printable toe-tag invitation is a finished size of 5.6x3.25 and fits into an A2 envelope for easy mailing. Each PDF includes three invitations per page (which is GREAT for saving on printing costs!!).

Pretty creepy, right?

How about some for kids! Great for childrens' Halloween parties OR for October Birthday Invitations!

{inspiration} halloween parties

I can't help it! Halloween is my favorite holiday (besides Christmas, of course!) and I start thinking about how to decorate months in advance. If I had it my way decorations would be up at the beginning of September but I have a feeling that my husband (and our neighbors) would disapprove.

It's not too early to start thinking about parties, though! Here's some incredible decor inspiration & ideas.

{Oh What Fun!} Christmas 2011 Collection + BlogHop!

It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas. Earlier this summer, I teamed up with four fabulous vendors. We call ourselves the Christmas Crew! It never gets old working with these girls, and I'm so excited to share with you our take on a Cookie Decorating Party!

This year, I wanted to create a fun and colorful Christmas party for kids. What better way to kick off the holiday season by having a Cookie Decorating party?!

BlushInvitation

I love the bright colors and bold stripes used in this invitation! Of course, the invitation can be personalized with your wording & color choices. This invitation is a part of my Oh What Fun! 2011 Holiday collection.

Blushbottlewrapper-strawflag-upclose

My favorite part about this collection is its versatility.

These colorful wraps can be used on any type of bottle. I love how they dress up ordinary milk bottles! Nothing says Christmas like milk and cookies!! Did you know that these wraps can also be used as napkin rings?! Party flags can be used as cupcake toppers or drink flags. So easy!!

Blush-and-PS-mini-gables

My 2.5" party circles can be used on anything you set your mind to! Here, they coordinate with Pam's Holiday Gable Box collection. Pam used these as decorations on her gable boxes, but don't forget that party circles can be used as envelope seals, cupcake toppers, stickers or anything else you desire!

BlushTreatbags

And how stinking cute as these bag toppers?! Fill a zip lock bag (or any clear plastic bag will do!) with your favorite holiday treats, then secure a bag topper across the top using a stapler. It's a simple -- but adorable! -- way to dress up an ordinary treat bag.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Be sure to check out parts 2, 3, 4 & 5 by hopping over to my friends' pages!! I hope you are inspired!

A huuuuge thanks to Pam from Party Starters for organizing this Christmas shoot, and for taking the time to style and photograph such a fun party!!

Well...I'll be bunked!!!

A couple of times of year the whole family manages to get together for a few days down at my parents house in the gorgeous Southern Highlands. We sure make a crowd, there are 13 grandkids now ranging in ages from 6 to 23. Many a time we thought it would have been a great idea to have a bunk room.

As I have been cruising around on Pinterest again, I realised how popular they actually are. So for all of you who have had the same idea, here is some inspiration....

So if it is a holiday house or just a lot of kids...try it, the kids will love it!

Girl's weekend!!!

I miss it already! I think what every woman needs is a weekend away with a group of old friends (yeah...the boys need their time too but we all know that it's us girls who need it more!!!).

So off to the beautiful Blue Mountains we went....I have to add the beautiful and very cold Blue Mountains, by the way for those who don't know them, they are called the Blue Mountains because from a distance the haze from all the eucalyptus trees looks blue.

We stayed at a lovely guest house, the Kubba Roonga

It is a typical old character mountain home with a lovely fireplace for us to camp in front of during the day and night whilst we took turns in having a very relaxing and welcome massage!

Yes we made a mess as we drank wine and coffee, ate chocolate, read papers and books and talked a lot, we also went shopping (we wouldn't be girls if we didn't!). This is one of my favourite antique shops.... it's in an old theatre.

I managed to find some more milk glass for my fledgling collection I mentioned here. You can't quite see the slight big accident I had with the little compote bowl....nothing that a little glue couldn't fix!!! We also went out for dinner at a great 1 hat restaurant called Ashcrofts which if anyone is heading up that way, I highly recommend.

Of course it wouldn't be a trip to the mountains, without a walk taking in the wonderful sights....

Checking out the new houses....

and the old....

and of course the iconic!

sending good cheer: vote for me!

Designers are always thinking a few holidays ahead. Christmas, of course, is no exception. Sometimes I feel like we give a new meaning to the phrase, "Christmas in July". For us, "Christmas" starts in May!

Having a little girl on the way definitely inspired all my entries in this years Minted Holiday Challenge. Since she'll be here toward the end of October, I really like the idea of sending out a birth announcement/Christmas card with her on it.

There were 2,231 submissions in this years contest, and Minted narrowed it down to 700 for the voting rounds. I'm tickled pink to announce that all 5 of my entries made the cut!

I would be beyond thrilled if you could take a moment and vote for my designs! Each photo will take you directly to the voting page.

As a designer, I'm always thinking two holidays ahead! I've had Christmas on my mind for awhile now, so of course I had to participate in the 2011 Minted Holiday Challenge.

Ideally, I'd win and these will be for sale on minted.com. Realistically, if I don't make the cut these cuties will be for sale in my esty shop :)
