The administrator for this blog is none other than Sheena. She will be tackling hair issues, doing product reviews, sharing with you her journey and a whole lot of other beautiful things. I know Sheena personally to be a fun and spunky girl! We met through my blog, and she has been a breath of fresh air. Through it all, she has come to be my friend. I am very pleased to introduce you to her!

I asked her a few questions about her blog so you all can get to know her a bit better.

How long have you been natural?

Depends on how you count it! Lol! Altogether 1 year 6 months! I started transitioning in march 2010 and I’ve been ALL natural no permed ends since January 2011.

What inspired you to start a blog?

I have a lot of friends that want to either go natural or just want to take better care of their hair. They like my hair and how healthy it is so they are always asking me hair questions. With the blog I can answer these and refer them to it instead of sending the same text a million times.

Why have you made the decision not to cut or trim your hair?

I did the research both biblically and scientifically! I have always questioned why as Apostolic’s we say we can’t cut our hair. Well after lots of reading up and praying I feel uncut hair gives God glory! And as a woman of Apostolic faith, I want my glory to reflect my creator! And scientifically speaking, contrary to what just about every stylist I’ve been to says, my hair won’t grow any faster trimming it! So I don’t cut my hair not because “I can’t” but because I don’t want to! :) Church dismissed! Lol

Why is natural hair beautiful to you?

Because it versatile! I can rock an old school afro, afro puff, a wash and go and I can straighten it if I want and many many more styles! When I went natural my confidence level went up. I can make a statement with my hair! I don’t have to conform to society’s view that straight non-kinky hair is better! Curly girls rule! Lol

What can we expect to see on your blog?

Since I am new to the blogs I'm hoping I'll just answer questions people may have for me! I'll do product reviews and just random hair check ins. I'll try to feature some of my natural hair friends. The possibilities for this blog are endless! Hopefully I will give lots of valuable information and offer some help for those having a rough time transitioning!

So there you have it my loves!

Please be sure to check out her blog and follow her. If you have questions for her feel free to send her a comment on her blog.

This is just the beginning of us creating a circle of apostolic women with beautiful natural hair! Lets support one another!!

My Review:
I love this product! I seem to say that about a lot of products don't I? Well it smells great and I love how thick the product is. The first time I used it, I used too much- so my hair wasn't how I wanted it to turn out. I can tell I used too much because I have read that using too much shea butter can cause your hair to feel "coated". However, I can tell this product works because it SMOOTHED my hair down. Thats a miracle ya'll! I have the hardest time with frizzies in the front of my hair. So this product allows me to lay down those stubborn strands. My hair also feels very moistuized and nourished.

I washed, conditioned and then deep conditioned my hair. Then I used this product to detangle and twist my hair. I wore a beautiful twist out on Sunday - and of course forgot to take pictures! So this weekend is my husbands graduation so I will use this product again and take pictures. I plan to look pretty fierce :) That is if my hair cooporates!
