Some of you may know that I work at Hobby Lobby in the scrapbook department. This card was created
for our Cuttlebug display to showcase some of the dies & folders. The card base is Kraft with a top fold.
The textured CS is Coredinations and was embossed with the Leafy Branch folder and then sanded to reveal
the colored core of the paper. The coral topper is 1 1/2" with a torn edge. After embossing with the Textile
folder, I swiped it with Adirondack Snow Cap pigment ink and then sponged the edges with Distress Walnut Stain.
The same process was used for the with love oval. The with love is from the With Love border folders set. The oval
is a word window punch by McGill. The butterfly was cut and embossed using the Butterflies combo die/embossing set.
After cutting and then embossing, the raised portions were highlighted with the same white pigment used on the coral
layers. After the pigment was dry, the die cut was misted with a pearlized distress mist made from
distress reinker/water/Perfect Pearls. (sorry, can't rememberwhat color reinker I used. Probably a shade like Faded Lipstick)
The body and antennea was highlighted with a Copic G24 Willow marker. The wings were folded upwards and then mounted
on foam dimensional tape. The project is finished with 5/8" wide striped ribbon, a pearl head pin and some glass leaf charms.
